William Edward DeLorenzo's Obituary
William Edward DeLorenzo, age 78, passed away on December 22, 2025, at Bayonet Point Rehab and Healthcare in Hudson, Florida.
Born on June 28, 1947, in Syracuse, New York, Billy was the son of the late John DeLorenzo and Veronica DeLorenzo (née McGuckin). He grew up in Syracuse before moving to New York City after high school, where he worked at the Four Seasons in Central Park as the nighttime maître d’. He later served as a business manager for singer Marilyn Taylor.
Billy spent a short time in California before settling in Seattle, where he worked as a contract classified advertising credit approver and briefly an interim supervisor for The Seattle Times for 18 years until his retirement in June of 2002. After his retirement, he moved to Florida and worked at the Butterfly Conservatory in Key West, later relocating to Fort Myers to work for Comcast before finally settling in Hudson.
Ordained as a minister with the Universal Life Church on November 25, 1991, he loved sharing the Word of God and imparting life lessons to those around him. He will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering faith.
Billy is survived by his brother, John “Skip” DeLorenzo and his family; his beloved aunt Loretta Ryan Williamson, who was like a second mother to him; his cousins Kevin Ryan and Jeanne Botz (and her family), who accepted him as part of their family; his goddaughter, Megan Williams; his cherished friend, Jeffrey Klima; and many other cherished cousins.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
