I remember being young and always coming to see my grandparents. Oh my lord, they had the best angel food cake with actual mint from the garden and fresh cut strawberries, lots of goodies, and my big white bear my grandpa got me with a jar of candy. I have that picture till this day. He was absolutely amazing and took me on many golf cart rides. I would sit on his lap, and he would make me smile, letting me steer but still hitting the pedal and guiding me. We would return back to the house, and I’d beg to go again. Grandma would say later because they had home films to show and lots of games. Oh, I loved the games so much. Every year for my birthday, I received a card with pictures of me and my great grandpa and grandma. He left a legacy I hope to one day make one of my own.
