Thomas P. Runnions' Obituary
THOMAS P RUNNIONS, 74, of Hudson, FL, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, February 26, 2020. He was born in Queens, NY to Thomas & Marjorie Runnions in 1945.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Deborrah. He is survived by two sons, Glenn and Eric, both from Utah and two loving grandchildren Gabby and Hunter. Also, sisters Lorie of PA and Adele of VA. His career began as an engineer for the Grumman/NASA Apollo program which was instrumental in landing the LEM on the moon. His other endeavors included sheet metal design specialist for NY Sheet Metal, maintaining the HVAC for the NY World Trade Center Towers. Coincidently, he was a survivor of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing and amongst the missing for hours.
After retiring and moving to Florida in 2004, Tom devoted ten years of volunteer service at Bayonet Point Regional Medical Center. There he met his best friend and fiancé, Elizabeth Celia.
Tom will be dearly missed by his family and friends who knew him by his generosity, loyalty and love of cruising.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 1, 2020 at Grace Memorial Funeral Home, 16931 US Highway 19 North, Hudson, FL 34667 from 2:00 – 6:00 pm.
