Koco Leka's Obituary
Koco “Kostandin” Leka, 82, of Brooksville, Florida passed away Sept 2, 2019. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 33 years Afrovita (Angjellari) Leka.
He was born in Selcke, Gjirokaster (Albania) on January 7, 1938 son of the late Theodore Leka and Agllaia (Kristidhi) Leka.
He is survived by his daughter, Agita (Leka) Fernandes and her husband Robert D Fernandes of Brooksville; his son Teodor Leka and his wife Ivette Leka of Orlando. He leaves behind his two grandchildren (Theodore Nicholas Leka and Matthew Constantine Leka) whom he adored and loved. He was predeceased by his brother Irakli Leka of Albania, and his niece Eglantina (Leka) Godella of Albania. He also leaves behind his nephew Spiro Leka of Italy, his brother in-law Niko Angjellari of Albania, as well as many cousins and close friends here in America as well as in Europe.
Koco will always be remembered as a loving father, grandfather and family man who would do anything for his family. He loved to travel and spent many summers in Albania and Greece with his family and friends. He was a physician in Tirana, Albania for 30 years. He immigrated to Connecticut in 1992 for a better life for his family and eventually relocated to Florida.
Koco will be laid to rest next to his wife Afrovita at Cedar Hill Cemetery, 453 Fairfield Ave, Hartford, CT 06114. The funeral service will be held at the burial site (Section 34, Lot 295) on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at 1 PM.
Flowers can be send to the South Green Memorial Home, 43 Wethersfield Ave, Hartford, CT 06114 or in lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to St Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
