Koco was my uncle, and growing up, my brother Mino and I called him baba Koco. We lived on the same street and anytime we needed help, especially when we had the flu, he would be there to assist being a physician. I’ve been told that his advice and call for action helped so much when I was delivered due to some complications at birth. Another memory I have of him is when he took me for a motorcycle ride going from Tirana to the beach in Durres to spend some time with my aunt’s family there. And one of my favorite memories is when he would gather us into a shed in the back of his house to bake chestnuts or eat flour like tortillas with butter, honey and walnuts. My aunt, Afrovita, Koco, Agita and Ted did all they could for me to come to the US to continue my education. I greatly appreciate everything Koco did for me and the Angjellari and family.
