Dear Wayne,Diane and I ( Bob) extend our condolence to you and your family. We rented from you and Judson in 1965. You assisted in our first son birth at Amesbury Hospital in 1967. My father at the time was Chairman of he School Committee who hired Judson a superintendent of schools. It was long time ago, but full of wonderfull memories. Every time we drive by your former home on Winkley St we think of you and Judson. Our best wishes to you and your family at this time. Bob and Diane Gonthier Jr Amesbury Mass
Dear Wayne, Pam, Marsha, Don, Brad, and Mike --We were so sorry to hear of Judd's passing. He and all of you were such an important part of our lives in Amesbury, and we remember him so fondly. Love to all of you -- you are in our thoughts and prayers.
Dear Wayne, Pam, Marsha, Donnie, Brad, and Miles, My heartfelt sympathy on the loss of this remarkable husband, father, and educator. I remember fondly playing hide and seek in your big Victorian home and later, working for Judd in the Amesbury schools. Thinking of you and wishing you the comfort of memories.
Dear Wayne, Marsha, and Family,Judd was a good man... as a principal at Red Oak, as a landlord on West Greenwood St., and especially as a role model. We were a young staff at Red Oak, and he took us under his wing. Most importantly though, we remember his passion for his family. Wayne, you were his queen. And he would do (and did do) anything for his children. He was a great example for those of us who would have our own families later. He was good man, whose lessons are well remembered.
Dear Wayne and Family, I'm so sorry for the loss of this good and kind man. I have wonderful memories of Judd and his guidance and support for his teachers and for the children in his schools. He always found time to listen and share his experiences for the betterment of the children and their learning. He will be missed by all.
Dear Wayne and family,So sorry for your loss. I loved working for Judd. he was a good and fair boss. I remember how you always greeted us in your home. I remember too you working at the hospital with my mom, Mary Sullivan and what good care you gave her when she was so sick. My thoughts and prayers are with you.Fondly,Ellenmarie Sullivan Widman
Dear Wayne and family. Sorry to hear about the loss of your beloved Judd. He was a wonderful man , a gentleman in every sense of the word. I enjoyed all my years at Pentucket working with him. You and your family are in my prayers and thoughts during this difficult time. May the Good Lord give you all strength. Keep all your memories of his life alive in your hearts. Deepest sympathy, Annette Autiello
Marsha, I was so saddened to learn of the passing of your Dad. I remember days at Pentucket and visiting at your home when Kuniko and Motoko were living with your family from Japan my senior year. My Dad (Jack Shanahan) thought the world of your father and they certainly loved their long chats curing the problems Pentucket faced! Then I was fortunate to know Judd as my principal at Red Oak School. Sending my deepest sympathies to you and your family. Rest easy, Mr. Merrill... You were one of a kind!
My sincere sympathies to the Merrill family. I have fond memories of Mr. Merrill. I taught at the then Red Oak School in Merrimac MA and he hired me when I was 24. I spent the next 37 years teaching at that school and will forever be grateful that he hired me to be one of his special education teachers. He would come into my office to chat frequently and I heard lots of stories about his children and his wife. You could tell he was a real family man! May he rest in peace! My thoughts and prayers are with you all!
