Joanne Baughman's Obituary
Joanne Baughman, 75, of New Port Richey, FL passed away September 18, 2020 at home while under the care of Gulf Side Hospice, her husband, family and her kind caretaker Shannon. Joanne was born in Fort Monroe, VA but was raised in Pasadena CA. After living in the Midwest for several decades, she moved to New Port Richey 22 years ago.
Joanne was The Director of The Pasco Fine Arts Council as well as an arts instructor. Jo came from a family of artists who encouraged her to develop her creative interests. After moving to Florida, Jo passionately pursued creating and teaching art. She has been teaching art for the Pasco Arts Center for 17 years. Her watercolors can be found in both private and corporate collections throughout the United States. She was a member of St Ignatius of Antioch Roman Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, John “Jack” Baughman; her daughter, Patricia Marie Baughman and Patricia’s husband Stephen Carlson; her son, John Fitzgerald Baughman and his wife Laura. She is also survived by 2 sisters, Bobby Lyden and Sandy Tavis and her brother John Tavis as well as 3 grandchildren, David, Sarah, and Emily Baughman. . A Catholic Memorial Service will take place at Grace Memorial Gardens, Hudson, Fl on September 28th at 1:00 PM.
