Joanne Baughman, 75, of New Port Richey, FL passed away September 18, 2020 at home while under the care of Gulf Side Hospice, her husband, family and her kind caretaker Shannon. Joanne was born in Fort Monroe, VA but was raised in Read Obituary
I miss her already... I worked at the Historic Registered Anderson House with her for many years before my retirement. She was so easy going and always had a smile and hug waiting if you were fortunate enough to know her! I loved her sense of humor and she was one that "got" my sense of humor... I lost a good friend and just can't believe I won't see her smile ...at least for awhile. Her memorial was on Sept. 28th what was to be her 76th 💞birthday...Happy Birthday in Heaven Jo!!!💖
Jo will be very missed by all that she touched and inspired. She was a talented artist and teacher and was a mentor to me in her appreciation of art and the artistic life. Thank you for all you did for so many children and adults through your vision.

What a beautiful tribute to a beautiful soul… to her family, her friends, her students, and all who knew her. When I met her some years ago, I immediately observed what a marvelous teacher Jo was. She loved her students, and they loved her. A couple years ago, I marveled at all Jo had done to enhance the new art center location on a shoestring and shoe leather, and some good grant applications. After my retirement as a museum director last year, Jo welcomed me back to teach at PFAC, and it was a joy to work with her again. I can’t believe she is gone from us so quickly and too soon, but am thankful for all the gifts she shared from her heart with family, friends, students, and her community.
I first met Jo six years ago when I joined the Pasco Fine Arts Council. Her passion for the arts and her dedication to the mission of the center was so inspiring. She will be truly missed as an artist, teacher, leader, colleague, and friend.

Sorry for the loss of a beautiful soul,”Jo” . She will be sadly missed by so many. As one of her adult art students, I take so many lessons with me from her teachings. My favorite words are what her mother taught her, “What do you see?”. I feel as we know her family from al the beautiful stories she told us. May you be comforted at this time of sorrow and keep her memories close in your family forever. I am sure all of you have great stories to tell from her lessons, too. I have been so blessed to be part of her art teachings. Heaven has gained an “Artistic Angel“ and she is sharing her heavenly skills. Hugs and prayers to all of her family, friends and acquaintances. She has left an impression on me to continue appreciating my creative world through Art.
When I met Jo some 4+ years ago, I didn’t know one end of a paintbrush from the other. She taught me everything I know about watercolor with such patience and encouragement. I would have quit long ago if I hadn’t been fortunate enough to have had Jo as my teacher. She was not only a gifted artist, but a truly talented teacher. Jo, you will be sorely missed. 💔🖼️🥀👩🏼🎨😢
