Joan Annette Wilhelm, 84, passed away in the presence of family on Monday, May 11th, at Bayonet Point Medical Center in Hudson, Florida. She was born July 26, 1935, to Irene and Wilbert "Duke" DuClos. She attended Lake View High S Read Obituary
The first person I missed during our short stay at WOL this March was sweet Mrs. Wilhelm! They said that was in the hospital. She was such a part of “God’s scenery” at WOL! Thinking that. Thank the Lord Joan is home with Jesus. We moved into WOLRV in 1996 there were only a few units then shortly folks began to move in. We had many talks with Joan and Jerry during those early years, great memories. What a heritage "forever with the Lord"

It was always a blessing to stop by and pick Joan up for church. We had a lot of fun looking for figures in the clouds on the way. She could always find the figure of a Schnauzer puppy. It was always a pleasure being around her for she never had anything bad to say about anyone.
No doubt that she really loved her two sons. My life was blessed by knowing Joan. Miss her greatly.

My husband and I had the pleasure of meeting Joan and Keith on a cruise about 5 years ago. Joan and Keith were a lot of fun. So much fun that we scheduled another cruise and met up with them for another cruise. Joan was a true Christian lady whom I grew very fond of. She really loved her church and the Word of Life ministry. One of the favorite things that Joan asked me was "Hey did you ever meet my husband Jerry" Unfortunately, I never got to meet Jerry. Joan will be missed but I am sure she is happy dancing in heaven with Jerry. God Bless all of Joan's family and friends.

I loved spending time with Joan and listening to stories of her growing up in her beloved Chicago, her pride in her sons, and her great love for her Jerry. She always had a scripture verse handy for every situation. I cherish my memories of her and the time we had together at Word of Life and Hudson FBC. What a beautiful, special lady! I have missed her dazzling smile. I would love to have seen her face when she saw Jesus and then Jerry!!
My husband Jack, Joan’s cousin, and I had so many visits through the years with Joan and Jerry. From 1960 or 1961 on, I do not think we missed a year seeing them at least one time. I miss them both. Jack proceeded them to heaven, July 2, 2019, am picturing them having a reunion with all their beloved family and friends.
We have fond memories of our time with Joan and Jerry. Joan welcomed us to Word of Life and we traveled together with them to a number of beaches, good restaurants, and other interesting places around Florida. We are sure she was welcomed into heaven by her Savior and Lord.
I have found memories of Joan, she could say some words in French, with her great smile and encouraging words. She will be missed, but knowing that she is with our Lord and Savior and her dear husband.
