Geraldine A Phillips' Obituary
Geraldine A. “Geri” Phillips, 86 of The Villages, Florida, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2025. Born on April 27, 1939 in Beacon, New York, Geri was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Vera Cristo. Geri was a devoted wife, mother and cherished friend to many.
Geri was predeceased by her beloved husband, Joel K. Phillips, with whom she shared 54 wonderful years of marriage marked by love and dedication to her family. She was also predeceased by her son Kenneth Phillips.
Geri is survived by her daughter Teri Richards (Brian) and her son Patrick Phillips (Tammy). Geri also leaves behind her sisters Sandra Klemczak and Gloria Hage (Michael), as well as several grandchildren whom she dearly loved and who brought her so much joy.
Geri retired from IBM in East Fishkill, NY 45 years ago, where she built lasting friendships and was greatly admired for her kindness, professionalism and strong work ethic. After retiring from IBM at a young age, Geri switched gears and co-owned Italian delicatessens and a local ice cream parlor in Hudson, FL. Geri loved sharing her warm personality and caring spirit with all she came in contact with. She will be remembered for her signature smile – a spontaneous burst of happiness that could melt away worries and draw people in.
Geri was an active member of the New Port Richey Chapter 925 Women of the Moose in Hudson, FL for many years where she participated in activities and functions as a co-worker.
Geri was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hudson, Florida and most recently St. Timothy’s Catholic Church in The Villages, FL.
A service to celebrate Geri’s life will be held at a date in the near future at Grace Memorial Gardens in Hudson, Florida. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in memory of Geraldine Phillips to Cornerstone Hospice Foundation, 2445 Lane Park Road, Tavares, FL 32778 or by phone (352) 742-6861.
Geri will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
