Carson was an inspiration to me. His love of life and humor always was infectious. His devil may care approach to life made him the center of most gatherings he attended. My wife Mitzi cherished being around him and proudly told me how many times their mother, Martha Belle, had to put the discipline to him after school. He must have been a challenge to his teachers, but he turned out to be one of the most loved to the lucky ones that were his friends. Yes, Bernita was the love of his life as well as Leann and Jesse.
It was my luck to be able to talk with him about his charitable endeavors after his greeter days at Walmart. He kept me informed about his health issues and I would daily pray for him when things got more serious. Our last call was not long ago and he sounded great. I always thought he would overcome any medical problems. He had the heart of a lion. A hero to me and I will dearly miss my brother in law. Thanks to Leann for keeping him with us so long.
