Carmen Shannon's Obituary
Carmen Shannon, 89, of Spring Hill passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2025, under the care of Marliere Hospice House in New Port Richey, Florida.
The tenacious Carmen was born in Puerto Rico to the late Raymundo Padilla and Josefina Colon. She lived her life to the fullest, always exhibiting her stylish fashion sense. She was truly a force to be reckoned with. Her passion for cruising and dancing showed through in her career of more than twenty years as a travel agent.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James Shannon; sons, Daniel Algarin and Henry Narvaez; a sister, Ermelinda Gallardo; and a brother, Quito.
Survivors include a daughter, Wanda Ivelisse; four grandchildren: Lauren Dumas, Jake Genzler, Daniel Algarin, and Luke Algarin; a great grandchild, Theodore Dumas; two sisters, Amparo Vargas and Floripe Padilla; and several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held Thursday, May 22, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at 1p.m. at Grace Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home with the Deacon Mark Manko officiating. Entombment will commence immediately after the funeral service in Grace Memorial Gardens.
