Andrew "Andy" Caamano's Obituary
Andrew “Andy “Caamano, age 56, of Spring Hill, Florida, passed away on February 11, 2024. Andy was born on August 27, 1967, in Paterson, New Jersey. Andy led a life marked by dedication, service, and love.
Andy was a certified NRA instructor and an avid shooter. He won numerous awards, some of which were winning a bronze medal for the Police Pistol Competition in the 1994 International Police Olympics, along with numerous awards and trophies as a top competitor in the prestigious NRA National Police Pistol Combat and Secret Service Pistol matches. Andy was also named a member in the “New Jersey Governor’s 20” as a top shooter for many years. Along with being a top combat and competitive shooter, Andy also held the role of D.A.R.E. Instructor. In 2016 he achieved the title of IronMan after successfully completing the Panama City Florida Full Ironman Long Distance Triathlon Race.
After his distinguished career in Law Enforcement, Andy relocated with his wife, Lisa, to Florida, where Andy was labeled “Commander In Chief” of raising their three daughters as a proud stay at home father for 15 years. As their children grew up, Andy transitioned to a role with the State of Florida in their Juvenile Justice Department.
Andy is survived by his wife of 23 years, Lisa, and their three daughters, Alyssa, Nicole, and Kiersten. Andy also has an identical twin brother, John, who he loved beyond measure.
A visitation to honor Andy‘s memory and all things beautiful about his life was held on February 24, 2024 at Grace Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home in Hudson, Florida. Over 200 friends and family gathered to share stories, laughter and tears. Andy was a true friend to so many and with Andy by your side, you could accomplish anything.
