Alexander Edward Groppe's Obituary
Alexander Edward Groppe, 91, of Hudson, Fl. passed away November 19, 2017. A native of Paterson, NJ he came to the area in 1983 from Lakewood, NJ. Alexander was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Hudson, Fl. He served his country in the US Navy during WW I.I. in the Pacific Theater. After the war Mr. Groppe served as an Executive Director for the Boy’s Club of America for over 50 years. Memberships include the VFW, DAV, Kiwanis Club and Rotary Club. A loving devoted husband Alexander was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Estelle Kathleen Groppe 2 years ago. He is survived by 2 sons Alexander J. Groppe and Joseph M. Groppe both of Hudson, FL; 2 grandchildren Kayla Elizabeth Groppe and Alexandria Emilia Groppe. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Labre Indian School http://www.stlabre.org/ in memory of Alexander.
