William Virgil "Bill" Matter's Obituary
William "Bill" Virgil Matter passed away June 2, 2023. He was born July 17, 1945 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the late Wilbert and Geneva (Whittaker) Matter. Bill is a 1963 graduate of Langley High School, in Pittsburgh. He was in high school when he met the love of his life, Judy. A few years later, they were wed, and spent 57 wonderful years together. Bill worked for Arby's for 43 years, eventually becoming a Director of Operations. In 2011, Bill retired and he and Judy moved to Spring Hill. He became an active member of Crosspoint Church, where he served as a volunteer.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Wilbert and Geneva Matter; his sister Wilma Matter, and his brothers John Matter and Wilbert Matter.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Judith Matter; daughter Renee Delgado and her husband Eric; daughter Stephanie Matter; and grandchildren Olivia Matter and Sarah Delgado.
Visitation will be held Thursday June 8 from 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Funeral Service will be Friday, June 9 at 11:00 AM with burial to follow at Grace Memorial Gardens.
