William "Bill" Hetherington's Obituary
William “Bill” Hetherington, 93, of Port Richey, FL passed away November 30, 2016 while under the care of Gulfside Hospice. A native of Detroit, MI he came to the area in 1976. Bill served in the U.S. Navy during W.W. II in the Pacific Theater, after coming back home he took a job with the City of Detroit Board of Education as an electrician till his retirement. Bill was of the Catholic Faith and was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles and the West Point Civic Assoc. He volunteered at Goodwill and enjoyed many things such as woodworking, Fishing, and playing cards with his buddies. At age 80 he got his first computer and by 81 he it had mastered. Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Jean, and daughter, Susan. Survivors include his son, Mark Hetherington and wife Linda of Crystal, MI; 2 daughters Shirley Solomon of Commerce Township, MI and Mary Miller and husband Don of Rochester Hills, MI; 10 grandchildren, Bryan, Russell, Nancy, Danny, Keith, Ryan, Michael, Julie, Lisa, Michael; 18 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 – 6 PM and Funeral Service will be held Monday 11 AM at Grace Memorial Funeral Home.
