Walter R. Chandler Sr.'s Obituary
Walter R. Chandler Sr.,90, of Spring Hill, Florida passed away Tuesday, October 4th, 2011 . Walter was born in Vancouver, Washington and lived in Oxon Hill ,Maryland for several years. Upon his retirement he and his wife moved to Spring Hill in 1979. Walter was a Defense Mapping Agency Division Chief with the Department of Defense. He served in the United States Navy during WWII and was a member of the American Legion Post # 186 in Spring Hill. He was a member of the Spring Hill United Methodist Church . Survivors include: son, Walter R. Chandler Jr.; and daughter; Kay Chandler Mullahey, sister, Peggy Silva, 5 grandchildren, Tim Chandler, Jeff Chandler, Jennifer Baptie, Melissa Auclair, and Day Chapman, 1 great-granddaughter, Sarah Auclair, and 1 step-greatgranddaughter, Chanley Grymes. A visitation is scheduled for Saturday, October 15th, 2011, 11:00am until 12:00pm at Grace Funeral Home, Hudson, Florida; with a Chapel Service scheduled for 12noon Saturday October, 15th at Grace Memorial Funeral Home, with internment at Grace Memorial Cemetery in Hudson, Florida.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the
