Vivian Fernando, 88, of Land 'O Lakes, passed away peacefully into the Arms of Jesus on Thursday August 24, 2023. Vivian was born in Colombo, Sri Lanka to Victor and Jane on June 29, 1935. She was preceded in death by her husband Read Obituary
We will miss seeing & talking to Ms.Vivian as she often walked by our house. It was so much pleasure talking with her! I can still visualize her waving, capturing my attention and smiling softly. My darling Mama, I am going to miss those calls I used to make to you often to hear your voice. I could always count on you for prayer. You were the best mother and grandmother any child could ever have, always directing us towards God. Thank you for your fierce love and the sacrifices you made on behalf of us. You were always so much fun. I’m so glad we had those days together at the Albany house. We would play together, you would try to teach me to crochet (unsuccessfully), and we would sing the bicycle song together. I’m so glad our last memory together was a happy one. All of us sitting around the table having dinner and laughing together. I will remember it always. Thank you for being there for me and always praying for me. I could always feel your prayers. I love you so much. I know we will meet again.
Vivian it was great having you as a neighbor and a friend. It was a pleasure watching you keep John in line. You brought so much joy and happiness to our neighborhood.
