Virginia Lee Derks' Obituary
Virginia Lee Derks, 93, of New Port Richey, Florida, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2026, in the compassionate care of Lifecare Hospice. Born on October 10, 1932, in Des Moines, Iowa, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Gladys Sults.
Virginia lived a full and joyful life defined by simple pleasures and deep love for her family. She cherished gardening, camping trips, days spent near the ocean, family gatherings, and cookouts that often brought everyone together. Her warmth, sense of adventure, and generous spirit will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
She is survived by her children, Kim Derks (Annette), Larkins Derks III, Sherry Crocker, and Anita Derks; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Ronald Sult and Rayma Deskin (Keith). Virginia was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, Larkin Derks, Jr.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Grace Memorial Gardens. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and celebration of her life.
