Verona "Cherry" Nairne's Obituary
Verona Elizabeth Nairne (Cherry), 69, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania passed away on December 3, 2021. She was born April 7, 1952 in Spanishtown, Jamaica to the late Joseph Ewers and Lynette Walker. While attending Doreen Nursing School In Jamaica, she met her husband, Owen. At 22, she migrated to Pittsburgh, temporarily leaving their daughter with her father and grandparents in order to establish a better life for them all in the US. She worked 2 jobs for over 35 years in the nursing field from which she finally retired from one in 2017 but continues part-time with the other until Covid in 2020. She is survived by her husband Owen; daughter Sheryl, sons Christopher and Pierce, 10 sisters and 5 brothers, 5 grandkids; Bryce, Asaijah-Tafari. Eliytsaphan, Empress Chrisette Michelle, and Haile-Trinity, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends who all love and will greatly miss her.
A Visitation will be held on December 10, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Grace Memorial Funeral Home.
Funeral Services and Burial will take place in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
