Valerie Chiles Vazquez's Obituary
Valerie Chiles Vazquez from NewPort Richey passed away Monday, September 9th at her home surrounded by family. She was preceded in death by her son Michael and her daughter Hope. Valerie is survived by her sister Joan, Western Australia, her daughter Lisa Vazquez and loving dog Daisey of NewPort Richey, daughter Susan Murphy (son in law Mike) Harbeson, DE as well as seven grandchildren (Tricia, CJ, Jennifer, Michael, Colleen, Stephanie and Vincent) and seventeen great grandchildren and cousins, nieces, nephews and close extended FL family, Michelle, Amanda, Tom and Rory.
Valerie was born February 14, 1935, in Gillingham, Kent, England. She married and came to America where she started her family in PA. She later moved to DE. She worked hard her entire life at different jobs including the dress factory in Shamokin, PA, Haveg Industries, several restaurants, Christiana Care Hospital, DE. Later when she moved to FL she worked as a lunch lady in a school cafeteria.
A true and loyal friend to many, Val was very generous, thoughtful, humorous, full of life and spunk. She lived life and to the fullest and was one of the toughest, strongest women anyone ever met. She touched the lives of many and leaves behind friends with numerous loving memories. Needless to say, Valerie will be sorely missed by family and friends.
Grace Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home have been entrusted with her care.
