Uva Marlene Duncan: Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Sister. Before death, Jesus said, "It is finished." Her time may be finished with us. but it is just beginning for her in heaven. She used to pace the floor holding her grandbabies, but now she will walk the streets of gold pain free. Her house was full of toys and snacks for every visit by her prides and joys, but today she will see her mansion she will never have to clean. She gets a new body that will never fail her. Her piano playing will be missed, but now she can play for the Lord until we meet again. I hope he gets to taste your fried chicken and macaroni salad, too. We will continue to celebrate your birthday thanks to your living birthday present. I'll save you a piece of cake. We will not say, "It is finished" today. Just "until." Until we see you again. Until we hear your voice again and feel your touch. So, Mom...Nana...you will be loved and missed until.
