Toby Ann Franz's Obituary
FRANZ, Toby Ann 83, of Hudson, FL passed away April 5, 2020. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church of Hudson since 2013.
Toby was a bookkeeper for the Medical College of Georgia and Vanderbilt University and a Past Vice President for Ladies of the Elks #2520. She loved to sew, do plastic canvas, color, and reading. Notably, Toby helped establish the Special Olympics in Nashville, TN in 1976.
She is preceded in death by her parents Sarah Ann McMurtry-Wainscott and Mark Stevens Carter.
Toby is survived by her loving husband, Philip Edward Franz; children Philip Franz Jr., Donna Schreiber, Debra Joel Myer Edelstein, Karen Franz, and Marjorie Grilli; grandchildren Gregory Edelstein, Nathan Schreiber, Michelle Rodriguez, Jennifer Edelstein, Spencer Grilli, Gabriel Grilli; and many great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Hope Lutheran Church or to hospice.
