Theresa Guglielmo's Obituary
Theresa Guglielmo had an effervescent smile and personality that made you immediately like her and want her to be your friend. When she walked into a room her beauty and golden hair were so striking that you had to look at her not once but twice. Theresa was born November 28th, 1946 in the Bronx New York City to Theresa and Joseph Recupero. She had two older brothers Phil and Alphonse (Chippy). They were a very loving family and were very close to her many aunts, uncles and many cousins. Theresa was a gifted hair stylist and spent several years in that profession which she enjoyed immensely. Also, she was a creative crafts person and would create beautiful floral arrangements for any type of design you desired. She had a natural artistic instinct to select the right painting, floral arrangement or drapery that would complement your room. If you were a friend of Theresa you knew that she loved shopping for clothing, shoes jewelry etc. But not just clothing it was brand named articles. She knew where and when there was a sale and the best stores to get the best deals. She would tell you, Come with me and I'll find what you want and at the best price. Then on April 13th, 1983 she married the love of her life Joseph Guglielmo. Just this past April they celebrated their 43rd anniversary and their love for each other is just as strong. That was the same year that they relocated to Florida in Port Richey where most of her relatives already lived. While there Joey and Theresa bought a restaurant/club called Memory's It was a huge success and they owned it for several years. Then they decided to relocate and moved to the Estates of Beacon Woods which is the current home. Both Theresa and Joey loved the adventure of traveling especially in Europe. They went on several trips to Italy, then France, England, Germany, Austria, Hawaii and Las Vegas. She was always excited about her trips and remembers especially when she was in Rome the day, they elected the present Pope Francis. Then in February 2022 TRAGEDY struck like a bolt of lightning when she was diagnosed with CANCER in several parts of her body. She went through several rounds of chemo and radiation and never once complained about it. She continued with her usual lifestyle. This continued up until the last strong chemo treatment in February of 2023 which resulted in her having Hospice care at home. Even though she was very weak she would not complain and took her medications. Finally, she no longer could tolerate her grave condition and was placed into a Hospice Facility in Port Richey where passed onto the LORD April30th at 2:23 pm When Theresa arrived at the Gates of Heaven. the gates opened and as she entered, she asked: Where is the nearest Macys?
