Anna Fierro - Gregg
Uncle Teddy was always smiling, and always trying to get a laugh or a smile outta of ya'. I remember him as one of the adults that didn't ignore you, and would from time to time try to include you in on the conversations, and jokes. Living in NY it is hard to see family. My children only met him a couple of times when they were under 6. But summer of '14 Danae and I went to visit him, Joan, Ruth, and Joe. Danae was a little tentative about our stay. Would she be comfortable, would she be bored, will she be anxious to get to Grandmama's on the East coast...... All that went away as Danae wanted to stay and do more with Uncle Teddy. Ruth, Joe, Joan, and especially Uncle Teddy made us feel so comfortable, wanted, and fun. He sang Danae the lollipop song, and all sorts of popsicle jokes. He said - "Oh, let's see, at 14 maybe you're too old for it." Danae replied, "Oh no, go ahead, I love this stuff." Danae was very glad we visited, "Uncle Teddy is like a teddy bear. He's a cute and funny old man that you just want to hug." He will be dearly missed. <3
