Stanley Laurinavicius' Obituary
Stanley Laurinavicius passed away peacefully in his home in Hudson, Florida, after a lengthy illness on Monday, September 10th, 2012. He was 87 years old. Stanley was born in Krakis, Lithuania to Antanas Laurinavicius and Elena Aleknavicius. He immigrated to Chicago, Illinois in the early 1950's where he lived with his loving wife Valerie, until their retirement to Hudson, Florida in 1985. He was a member of the Automobile Mechanic Local #701 International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers and St. Michael Archangel Catholic Church in Hudson. Stanley was a very loving and caring husband to his wife, Valerie, who died 14 years ago. He was also a devoted brother-in-law to John and Irene Juskiewicz (deceased). He is survived by and will be profoundly missed by his cherished sister, Sofija Putrimas and her husband, Mindaugas. He is predeceased by his loving brother Zigmas Laurinavicius, his wife Mageliona, son Raimundas and loving sister, Elena Astrauskas. Stanley will also be very sadly missed by his niece, Irena (Astrauskas) Vitkus, who he raised like his own daughter in Chicago for 10 years, her husband Algis and their son, Alexander. He was a cherished uncle by his nephews Victor Laurinavicius and his partner Cindy Rogers, Jonas Putrimas, his wife Edita and their children Paul and Andrea, the Rev. Mons. Edmond Putrimas, his nieces Elena Astrauskas and Vida Kazlauskis, her husband Algis, and their children, Loretta Soten and Michael Kazlauskis from Toronto, Canada, cousin Lawrynowicz in Lodz, Poland. Stanley will also be dearly missed by his close friends in Indianna (Erl Henry and Wayne Henry), Chicago (Gloria and Al Dikcis) and neighbours in the ...Visitation; Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Grace Memorial Funeral Home, 16931 US HWY 19, Hudson, Florida, 34667. Funeral Mass; on Friday, Sept. 21, 2012 at 9:30 am, celebrated at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 8014 State Rd. 52, Hudson, Florida 34667. Internment to follow at North Meadowlawn Gardens in New Port Richey, Florida. The funeral arrangements were entrusted to Grace Memorial Funeral Home.
