Shirley Sackner's Obituary
Shirley Sackner, 86, of Saint Petersburg, Florida passed away Saturday, May 11, 2013. She was born in Brooklyn, New York to Bernard and Miriam Goldsobel. She was a retired office manager for the Zarkin Machine Company in New York. Shirley moved to the Hudson, FL/Tampa Bay area in 1981. She was an active member of the Chabad Jewish Center of West Pasco during her many years in the Hudson area. Out of all of her positive traits, Shirley is foremost remembered as being loving and devoted toward her family and children. She found great joy in her word puzzles and card games. She also enjoyed traveling, especially by cruise ship. She is survived by her sons, Jay Springer, Robert Springer (Catherine), and Michael Castle; brother, Norman Goldsobel (Rosalind); one grandchild; and two great-grandchildren. Shirley will be missed by all who knew her. A funeral service will be held at the Grace Memorial Funeral Home Chapel Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at 1:00 pm with one hour of visitation between 12:00 and 1:00 pm.
