I am the daughter of Shirley and Edwin, Deborah A. Heitzman (Karinski). My brother and his family have acted with cruelty by excluding me from my mother’s obituary in an attempt to erase me from her legacy. Even more heartless, NONE of them even inform me of her passing. It is difficult to comprehend how I could be related to people capable of such deliberate and hurtful actions.
Regardless of whatever my brother tells himself to justify his wrongs, his family could have at least 1) helped him craft a respectful and cohesive obituary—rather than something that reads like it was slapped together by a fourth grader—and 2) shown simple kindness and love from the heart, instead of delivering yet another act of malice by leaving me out—another wound from the devil Ron.
