Shirley Culotta's Obituary
Shirley Culotta, age 90, passed away peacefully July 21, 2020. She was born in Chicago, Illinois. She was married to Samuel Culotta in November 1961. She treasured her family and friends and embraced every moment with them.
Shirley loved people. She was good, kind, and compassionate to all who met her. She always greeted everyone with a bright, cheery smile and had a nature that always set your mind at ease. Her kindness was demonstrated by volunteerism in the community and she had a passion for knowledge which extended to the school system where she taught young children how to read. She was active in the Presbyterian Church, loved music, sang in the choir, and held many positions within the church.
Her career spanned over 40 years as a realtor. She worked for Century 21, ERA, Sand Dollar Real Estate, and finally Prudential Tropical Realty which became Berkshire Hathaway.
Shirley is survived by her brother and wife Jim and Fran and 5 daughters Susan, Liz, Cheryl, Sarah, and Samantha, grandchildren Fred, Heather, Sean, Salvatore, and Annamarie, and 6 great grandchildren, all of whom she loved deeply.
Please join us in celebrating her life on Saturday, July 25th, 2020. The family will receive friends at 10:30 am at St. Marks Presbyterian Church, 7922 State Road 52, Hudson, Fl. The Celebration of Life will take place at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Metropolitan Ministries or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
