Scott M. Breivik's Obituary
Scott M. Breivik, 57, of Spring Hill, FL passed away peacefully on Saturday August 17th, 2019 surrounded by his family and his Pastor. He is Christian and looked to this as the ultimate going Home. Scott was born in Port Jefferson, New York to Leif and Margaret Breivik on May 30th, 1962. He grew up in Stony Brook, NY with his brothers Tom and Leif (Barbara), sister Susan (Bill) and many dear friends. Always spoken of as a magical place to grow up. The family he built include wife Christine, sons, Michael (Lauren) and Adam, daughters, Trisha (Jeremy) and Jessica (Joseph), 8 grandchildren, DeOnte, Rai Rai, Brooke, Joey, Liahna, Kaila, Leila, Scotty. He was a dear brother for 32 years to Wendy & Ed, John, Judy, Robert & Kim, Dan & Sarah, Kathleen & James. Many, many much loved nieces and nephews.
Scott lived and loved Big. He touched hearts everywhere he went. Being treated for pancreatic cancer he made a decision that it was something he lived with and was not defined by. He trusted the outcome to God and felt his life had been so blessed he lived each day overwhelmed by the abundance. He loved so many and spread light and life and laughter wherever he went. The only weeping his family witnessed was when he would weep in being overwhelmed by the love and care others had for him. A humble man, a man of good character, a man of integrity, a truly precious child of God.
Regarding donations in lieu of flowers Scott had love for his Church and the service they perform with foodbank (where he spent many weekends), jail ministries, and gifts to those in need and the homeless at Christmas. More than monetary donations he would encourage signing up for service to others if possible. He also had a love for fellow patients and staff at Florida Cancer Center. Donations can be made to family or Redeemers Promise Ministries to be distributed.
A visitation and service will be held at the place he called home here and in the gardens he lovingly tended, Saturday August 24, 2019 5pm to 7pm at the Breivik residence 15142 Mattoon Dr. Spring Hill, FL 34610.
