Ruth B. Strawser's Obituary
Ruth Besanez Strawser entered into the arms of our Heavenly Father on June 25th, 2018. Ruth was born on January 14th, 1961 on the island of Cebu in the Philippines to Florenttino and Florita. She was the 4th child out of nine children. She had eight wonderful siblings and loved each and every one; Edwin, Bonet, Bobby, Marcela, Amelito, Valiant, Florenda, and Alan.
Ruth was a wonderful wife to Edward Strawser for almost 30 blessed years. She became a step mom to three children; Melissa, Bryan, and Jennifer. She has four grandchildren; Chloe, Elizabeth, Blake, and William to whom she loved dearly. Some of her greatest joys were spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Ruth worked for years as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Solaris Healthcare. She loved what she did because she loved helping people. Ruth loved gardening and was an amazing cook. She loved to make food from the Philippines. Ruth was a very religious woman, she spent a lot of time reading the bible, listening to worship songs, and praying.
Ruth helped to teach her children to have confidence no matter what, to always work hard for the things you want, to treat everyone with respect and to always trust in God. Ruth’s life is a true testimony as to how the angels walk among us, showing small acts of kindness. She was truly loved and will be deeply missed by so many.
Funeral Services will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday at Grace Memorial. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 till 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to HPH Hospice http://www.chaptershealth.org/give/donate/ in memory of Ruth.
Psalms 23:
The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
for his name’s sake.
Even though I walk
through the darkest valley,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD
forever.
