Ruby Gayle Berry

"The Lord is watching."
Many remember Ruby for the quiet strength that grew from her favorite words, "The Lord is watching." Her daily life reflected supportive, empathetic, and generous care for those around her. These gentle qualities form the heart of her legacy.
Ruby was born on March 1st, 1954 in Williamstown, WV. A firm trust in the Lord shaped her choices and gave her the steady courage noted by many.
She cherished family time with her sons, Shane Wray and Brian Wray, her grandchildren Kevin, Logan, Cole, and Lindsay and a wonderful great-grandson, Josiah. The children and grandchildren recall moments when her empathy turned simple visits into calm, caring gatherings. Ruby also held close the memory of her late husband, John French, whose love remained a quiet comfort to her.
Outside of family, Ruby found peace in gardening. Rows of flowers, especially bright sunflowers, showed her careful devotion to living things. Sundays often saw her at church, where her generosity blended with fellowship.
Ruby passed away under the care of hospice in New Port Richey, FL on May 5th, 2026. Her final days were met with the same calm faith that guided her life. Loved ones take solace in the thought that her supportive spirit continues to inspire small acts of kindness.
Gentle remembrance best suits Ruby’s story. Each time a sunflower lifts its head or a grandchild offers a kind gesture, the legacy of her compassion lives on.
