Rose Marie Elizabeth Tomaino's Obituary
TOMAINO, Rose Marie Elizabeth Damiano.96, of Spring Hill, Florida passed away after a brief illness on November 5, 2019 at the Melech Hospice House in Temple Terrace, Florida. Rose was born on February 20, 1923 in Utica, New York to Joseph Damiano and Rose Valdo Damiano and grew up on Webster Ave. in Utica, N.Y. She was in a family of 11 children, with eight brothers and two sisters. Rose was a graduate of Proctor High School Utica, New York. Rose married her high schools sweetheart in 1941 and they live in Frankfort, New York and raised their family. Rose continued to live in Frankfort after Benny passing until 2008, and then relocated to Oklahoma and then Florida in 2008. Rose was employed by the State of New York as a Supervisor for Environmental Service at the New York State office building on Genesee St. Utica, New York.
Rose lived with her Daughter Bonnie Almond and son-in-law Donald Almond and her buddies Gabriella and Jordano that assisted in her daily care for years.
Rose Loved Gardening and keeping her lawn manicured. She planted over 200 trees on her property. Rose planted them from a small tree to a vibrant healthy tree everyone could admire. Rose loved watching her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. She watched movies like Rocky and the Godfather. Rose adored her family; she will be deeply missed by each of them, they will always remember her willingness to take care of them all.
Rose is Pre-deceased by her loving husband of 47 Years Bernard “ Benny” L. Tomaino, her Grandson J.J Carrier, Granddaughter Rose Marie D. Carrier and Great Grandson Antonio Joseph ” Boogz” Almond.
Rose is survived by two Daughters Anita Louise Tomaino Carrier and Bernadette “Bonnie” Tomaino Almond and her husband and Roses caregiver Donald J. Almond lll. Rose is also survived by her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Bernard Carrier and his wife Amanda and daughter Madison, Elizabeth A. Almond and her four Children Anthony, Caligio, Harmony and Jeremiah, Bernard “Bernie” Almond and his wife Brittany and great granddaughter Skyla Marie Almond, Victoria A. Almond Wright and her husband Louie and four children Julianna, Arianna, Tattiyanna and Lou, and Jacquelyn R. Almond and four Children Jordano, Gabriella, I’Janaya & Jahzlyn.
A Gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday November 23rd, 2019 at Grace Memorial Funeral Home, 16931 U.S. Hwy. 19 North, Hudson, FL, 34667, 727-863-5471 from 1:00pm-2:00pm.
