Rosalie Frances Stewart's Obituary
Born in West Islip, New York Rosalie moved to Florida as a young child living most of her life in Port Richey. A gifted athlete, she played many sports and was especially proud of being the first girl to play on an all-boys little league team.
Ro loved anything to do with the open water. An especially beloved pastime of hers was to spend hours fishing near Hudson Beach. She was a staunch animal lover caring unconditionally for many dogs and cats throughout her life, including rescues. All genres of music appealed to Rosalie, and she spent countless hours dancing and singing with friends and family. In her professional life, Rosalie worked in the optical industry for over 30 years. She was an optician at various optical outlets throughout Pasco and Pinellas counties.
She is pre-deceased by her beloved mother Rosalie A. Stewart and survived by her younger brother. Ro will be missed by her aunts, cousins, and many friends.
A service will be held at Grace Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home in October.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that you consider a donation to a local animal shelter or the Alzheimer Association.
