We lost a very special person this past week. He was often (not always 🤣) a man of few words, but that didn’t mean we didn’t hear each other.
Dad could be the most stoic man in the room, but could also be the most silly and fun as well.
Things are tough right now, trying to understand the who, what, where, when, why…. I get that from my dad. Always looking for the answer, logical to a fault sometimes. God just needed him more than we do right now, and who am I to argue…. One of the most important lessons I learned in life was from my dad, and it was so simple, yet so needed during a very tough period: FROG “Fully rely on God”. Sometimes it’s the simple things you need reminding of, and those are the things that pull you through. So right now dad, :frog:
I got my love of sci-if and fantasy literature (really simply reading!) from you Dad. He shared with me his copy of the Hobbit when I was still in elementary school, and I’ve been hooked since.
We’ll take good care of Mom. Maybe not as good as you, but we’ll try like hell. And occasionally we’ll throw her an “Oh, Karen!” For old time sake. 🙂
Dad, I love you.
(“Mmmm-hmmm, k. Buh- bye”)

Until we meet again. Save me another dance!!
