Roger was one of the first people I met when I moved back to Florida. I was introduced to Roger while listening to Borderline with Anita.. A great man with a smile and laugh that was infectious. I will never forget what he said to me when we first met. " Stick with these people here. They are like family and will become a great part of your life".
He could tell I was quiet, and a little out of my element. Roger was more than right with those words. We all did become like family. Friends who will always be there for Marie and each other. With thoughts of Roger in our hearts always. Thank you Roger for making me feel like family. Roger was also very instrumental in blessing and strengthing my relationship with Curt. Roger shared his pleasure with us both continually. Our big Teddy Bear Father figure. His love for Marie and for life was very evident. Saying you will be missed Roger does not even begin to cover our loss. Missed beyond words..
I am so blessed to have been married to not only my husband but my best friend! He came into my life when I didn't even know loving a man could even be possible for me anymore. Alone with 2 sons, I did the best I possibly could to give them all they needed and wanted. They were my life, my only reason for existing in this cruel world until I met a man who not only wanted to love me for me but also adored my sons, which became his sons. He worked hard for us, loved us, and provided us with a feeling of security and comfort. I really don't think I would have made it without him and I KNOW he would not have made it without us! We were all one solid rock--anyone ever hurts or goes against my wife or kids--they answer to me he would say. We have just lost a piece off our heart and soul and I really can't say much more EXCEPT -- Thank you honey for all you have given us, for all the good times and bad times,for all the support shown to us but mostly for all the unconditional love you gave us all!!! You will remain always and forever in our hearts and souls and I Know when it is our turn to leave this world - YOU will greet us and welcome us with open arms - just as you always have. With all my love always and forever Your wife, lover and "FARMGIRL."
Roger, You are one of a kind and we Thank God you became a part of our life several years ago. Whenever John plays "your song", we will think of you and probably shed a few tears. Little Wing will always be dedicated to you Roger and now you have your wings to fly free. We can see you now riding your Golden Harley through the Pearly Gates and down the roads of the Promised Land. Look out Lord, Here comes Roger! We love you yesterday, today, and forever!
