Roger A. Brinkman's Obituary
Roger Allen Brinkman born in Oak Park, Illinois on September 18, 1944 was relieved of worldly pain on May 12, 2024. Roger served in the US Air Force where he further developed his electrical and mechanical skills. He was an avid tinkerer who put those skills to use making RCA kit televisions, building and repairing various engines and in his life-long work as a computer programmer. In his younger years, he enjoyed motorcycle riding, numerous family camping trips and being involved in his children’s activities including coaching baseball and putting together music for dance recitals. He renewed his love for boating and fishing after moving to Florida and served with the US Coast Guard Auxiliary. He is preceded in death by his parents Charles and Lillian and sister Cathy. He is survived by his loving wife of over 59 years, Karen, daughter Terri Bowman (Rich), son Bobby (Teresa), four grandchildren- Nathan (Chase), Madison Borden (Jake), Austin (Breanna) and Tyler - and two great grand-children (Brooks and Lily).
A private committal service will be held at Florida National Cemetery on June 7, 2024.
