Robert W. Kunde "Coach K"'s Obituary
Robert William Kunde, “Coach K,” 80, a resident of Heritage Pines in Hudson, Florida, passed away June 20, 2017.  Born April 4, 1937 in Chicago, Illinois, he moved to Florida 19 years ago after a long and distinguished career as a high school history teacher and coach.  He was a graduate of Oak Lawn Community High School and Capital University, where he excelled as an athlete.  He was a member of Hudson First United Methodist Church.
A loving husband, caring parent and grandparent, he was a mentor to many students and athletes and enjoyed the many wonderful friendships he made throughout this life.  He was also a proud dog parent to Sadie, whom he found abandoned on a golf course, and who provided him many joyous days and adventures.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years Karen; son Steve (Debbie); daughters Nancy and Jennifer; and grandchildren Samantha and Kelly.
A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 2 pm, at Hudson First United Methodist Church.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hudson FUMC – HES initiative or food pantry, 13123 U.S. Highway 19, Hudson, FL 34667.
