Robert J. Corey's Obituary
Robert J. Corey, 68, of Port Richey, FL passed away on Monday October 20th, 2014.  Robert was born in Staten Island, New York to Paul and Mary Corey on November 4th, 1945.  He was self-employed in the Telecommunications field as an experienced Engineer for many years.  Robert served in the U.S. Army 101st Airborne Division HHC2/502 during the Vietnam War and was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal with 3 Bronze Stars, Presidential Unit Citation, Valorous Unit Citation, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Palm Unit Citation, Army Good Conduct Medal, Expert Qualification Badge with Pistol Bar, Sharpshooter Qualification Badge with Mort Bar. During his departure from the military, he was a life time member of various groups and post: 101st Airborne Division Association, 101st Airborne Vietnam Veterans, 101 Airborne 1st Brigade Separate, 101st Airborne Florida Gulf Coast Chapter, NCOA, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans.  He was a Catholic by Faith. Survivors include his loving wife Carmen Ilia, sons Robert Jr, Erik and Michael, brother Paul, sister Theresa Deborah, nieces Erin, Susan, Sheila and nephews Steven, Timothy and Christopher.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday November 7th at 11:00AM at Grace Memorial Funeral Home 16931 US Hwy. 19, Hudson, FL.  Interment will follow at 1pm Friday November 7th at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida.
