Richard Shauan's Obituary
Richard Shauan, 79, of Hudson, Florida passed away Sunday, August 11, 2013. He was born in Ypsilanti, Michigan to Harold and Pearl Shauan on August 12, 1933. He moved to New Port Richey from Milan, Michigan in 1971. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of New Port Richey for many years. He previously owned and operated Rain Control Aluminum, a local gutter installation business that served Pasco County and surrounding areas. Richard served our nation honorably in the Navy, from 1952 through 1960. He is a Korean War Veteran. He is remembered by his family and friends as being a man who held his family near and dear to his heart. Richard is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Kathleen; sons: Dallas Shauan (Jane) of Hobe Sound, Paris Shauan (Deborah) of New Port Richey, and Wayne Shauan (Karyn) of Monroe, North Carolina; daughters: Tamara Daggs ("Rick") of Plattsmouth, Nebraska and Denise Day (Stephen) of Palm Harbor; 10 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild. He was predeceased by his daughter, Sabrina Ramirez (Ramon); brothers: Edward, Robert, and Gilbert Shauan; and his parents. Richard will be dearly missed by those who knew him.
