Richard Eugene Schultz's Obituary
Richard Eugene Schultz, 77, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2026 at his home in New Port Richey, surrounded by those he loved. He was the devoted husband of Rianda, with whom he shared 51 wonderful years of marriage.
Born on April 26, 1948 in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Richard was the son of the late Edward and Ida‑Marie Schultz. In 2010, he and his wife moved to Florida to enjoy a new chapter of life together.
Richard was a man of many talents and passions. He loved wood carving and creating silk floral arrangements—skills he refined over decades. For 29 years he proudly owned and operated Hellers Flowers in Michigan, a place where his creativity truly blossomed. He also enjoyed traveling with his wife, finding joy in their memorable trips to Alaska, Haiti, and California.
Richard had a special gift for storytelling. He could captivate a room with his tales, always bringing smiles and laughter to those around him.
Faith played a central role in Richard’s life. He deeply loved the Lord and was an active member of Sunrise Community Church, where he joined the men’s Bible study group and built meaningful relationships through fellowship.
Those who knew Richard would describe him as outgoing, gentle, caring, and loving. He had a warm sense of humor, loved making others laugh, and cherished time spent with friends and family. Loyal, devoted, and reliable, Richard was truly a man of his word—if he said he would do something, he did it.
Richard is survived by his beloved wife, Rianda; his children, Denice and Daniel (Sandy); and his cherished granddaughter, Nicole.
He was predeceased by his parents and his daughter, Deanna.
A memorial service will be held at Sunrise Community Church; date and time will be announced once finalized.
