There are folks that enter our lives, share experiences, and then fade away. Rick DeBlasis was one such person. A real estate businessman that decided to distance himself from that profession and become a Paramedic and a firefighter. As with many from those early days of EMS and fire rescue, Rick was a truly unique individual. There are many stories about Rescue Rick that we remember.
Rick rose through the ranks of a young and struggling agency. One of the original Senior Paramedics. A member of the distinctive firefighter class known as “Roland’s Rejects”. He became a lieutenant, a captain, and an EMS training officer. But, by and far, his legacy will be his work with Hank Ford and others in creating the Pasco Fire Rescue Benevolent Association.
Thank you, Rick. Good job.
