Richard was a World War II vet, honorably servicing our country in the US Navy for many years. After his service with the US Military, he worked as a carpenter to support his family. He was very talented with his craft, and had an opportunity to help work on the Walt Disney World Park when it was originally constructed.
A loving and faithful husband to his beautiful wife Lillian Anna Currier (March 7th, 1920 to January 27th, 1998), who's over 50 year marriage was exemplary to all and the kind made of fairytales. Their love for each other radiated to many family and friends, they are forever soul mates.
He also was a dedicated and caring father, He leaves his children to cherish his memory; Kathy, Richard, Elaine, Lillian, and Daniel. His constant care and love continued with all his grandchildren, Bobbie Jean, Diane, Chuck, Rick, Bill, Donna, Craig, Daniel, Aundria, and Rachel and combined they gave him 16 great grandchildren that he doted over. He, along with our Grandmother would sit back and watch his family grow and grow, commenting “Look at what we were responsible for”, with a laugh.
And finally, and most importantly, he was a follower of Jesus Christ. Richard lived a life of unshakeable faith and unparalleled dedication to His word, His church and congregation.
Whether you knew him as Richard, Dad, or Grampy, they all were names for the same thing: someone whose spirit has touched and influenced all of us.
We love you Grampy and you will be missed. May your soul be dancing with Grammy in Heaven!
