Rella "June" Rey's Obituary
Rey, Rella "June", 85, of Weeki Wachee, FL went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 21, 2015. She was born June 11, 1930 in Cumberland, Maryland, the 6th of 13 children to Elmer and Sylvia (Jenkins) Herrell. She settled in Weeki Wachee, FL with her 2nd husband & 4 children in the 1970s. She was the proud matriarch of a military family and attended Centralia New Life Baptist Church. She was an AVON sales representative for many years in Hernando County and also worked as a registered nurse, specializing in in-home healthcare until retiring at the age of 65. She loved to watch her Tampa Bay Rays baseball & Tampa Bay Lightening. She was an avid collector of dolls and anything pertaining to owls & hummingbirds.
She is preceded in death by her Husbands: Herbert McDonald, Belton Rickett Rey Jr.,
Long time Partner: Charles Linton;
Brothers: Robert, Earl Kenneth, & Elmer;
Sisters: Audrey, Helen, Opal, & Marguerite;
Grandchildren: Tara Dawn Rey & Sean Kevin Michael Rey
She is survived by her 3 sons, Richard Rey, Skip Rey, David Rey, and daughter, Carmen Blakely;
as well as 4 sisters; 1 brother; 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, and many nieces & nephews
Funeral arrangements have been made at Grace Memorial Funeral Home & Gardens in Hudson, FL for Saturday, November 28, 2015. There will be a private family viewing at 10 am and a public viewing at 11 am. Funeral Service to be held at noon.
