Pastor Phillip W. Platz's Obituary
Pastor Phillip W. Platz, 74, of Spring Hill, passed away on August 7, 2022. He was born January 12, 1948 to the late Maynard and Harriet Platz in Sturgis, Michigan. Phillip served as a Pastor of Argyle Bible Church in Colchester, Illinois, Calvary Bible Church in Benton Harbor, Michigan, Bourbon Bible Church in Bourbon, Indiana, and Argos Bible Church in Argos, Indiana. Phillip retired to Florida ten years ago. He was a member and Sunday School Teacher at Blessed Hope Baptist Church.
Phillip is survived by his wife of 51 years, Linda Platz; four daughters: Amy Scott and her husband Jerry, April Meyer and her husband Nathaniel, Alissa Platz, and Ann Platz; sisters Pamela Aurand and Patricia Yoder; and grandchildren Ella, Zachariah, Aria, Levi and Elise.
A Memorial Service will take place at Community Baptist Church in South Bend, Indiana on August 18 at 5PM. The family will receive visitors from 4PM until the time of the service. Interment will take place at Southlawn Cemetery in South Bend.
A Service will be held locally at Blessed Hope Baptist Church at a later date.
