My memories with Pop are all over the place I couldn’t even tell you how old I was in half of them but they’re the kind that stick with you forever.
I remember throwing acorns at his bald head, and him making all of us grandkids run around so he could lasso us like we were cattle. We loved it. I remember the weekends going with him and Mokel to the flea market next door to get ice cream , eating squirrel for the first time the one we hunted together yes only one . Him attacking us with his feet, trying to pinch us with his toes. Riding his baby cattle with Richard in the summertime on their property in north Florida to the point were they nearly died. To be honest I pretty sure Richard and I are a reason some didn’t make it. Sorry about that Pop.
But my favorite memory the one I’ll never forget was right before we’d leave and he’d say,
“What, you don’t like my company!?”
Pop… I always loved your company. Nothing will ever be the same without you. Your company is in a much better place now, and I hope you know how much you meant to us.
