Peter Duarte's Obituary
Mr. Peter Duarte, 86, of Spring Hill passed away peacefully at home on April 19, 2022. He was born October 25, 1935 in Bogota, Colombia to the late Pedro and Margarita Duarte. He immigrated to the United States in 1965. In 1978, he moved from New York to Florida, where he worked as an electrician. Later, he opened and ran a Car Wash in Holiday. After selling the business, he was able to enjoy his retirement, and spending time with his loved ones. He was a loving husband and father, and he will be remembered for his tireless work ethic, and devotion to his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Miryam; son Nestor and his wife Michelle, son Leonardo and his wife Saralyn, daughter Nancy Matherson, son Steven and his wife Erin; Brother Luis Antonio Duarte and wife Lilia, sister Rosa Niño, brother Israel Velandia and wife Beatriz, sister Clara Duarte; grandchildren Mireya and her husband Seth, Ariana and her husband Jon, Alicia and her fiancé Shane, Jordan, Trevor and his wife Heidi, Gabriel, Lola, and Isabella; along with nieces, nephews, and friends. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, May 20th at 11:00 AM at Hope Community Bible Church (13241 Spring Hill Dr, Spring Hill, FL 34609).
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Peter was a believer in Christ who lives on in a new body free from pain. We will meet again.
