Patricia Katz's Obituary
Patricia Ann Katz (Jelinek), 72, of Hudson, Florida, passed away on January 10th, 2012. A gathering, celebrating her life, was held on Saturday, January 14th, 2012 at First United Methodist Church of Hudson. Patricia was born on October 13th, 1939 in Marshall, Michigan. She is the daughter of Tony and Mary Jelinek. Patricia was extremely involved in the church and ran the nursery for over 25 years. She also helped with the Tuesday night dinners, coordinating drivers for the Meals on Wheels program, as well as assisting with the SHARE (food distribution) program for many years. She always put her family first and loved spending time with them and especially her grandchildren. She was also a nanny and friend to Lisa Holaska and her three children Drake, Damion and Derek.She is survived by her sister, Norma Thomas, her two sons, Robert (Merridessa) Katz and Douglas (Connie) Katz, her three grandchildren, Rik (Stacy) Greenwood, Veronica (Chad) Derksen and Tiffany Katz, her two great grandchildren, Rory and Noah and her daughter-in-law, Cathy Katz. She was preceded in death by her parents and her two youngest sons, Tony and Randy Katz.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Scholarship Fund at First United Methodist Church of Hudson, 13123 US Highway 19, Hudson, FL. 34667.
