Nicholas J. Bonaimo's Obituary
Nicholas Joseph Bonaimo, 85, of Hudson, FL passed away peacefully on Tuesday (February 15th, 2022) at Bayonet Point Regional Medical Center. Nick was born in Brooklyn, NY on July 14th, 1936 and faithfully served as a decorated Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps in Korea. He retired in 1992 from AT&T after years of working in the telecommunications industry. Nick was a devoted and long-standing member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church and volunteered with many service organizations including The Knights of Columbus where he was a 4th Degree member, The Fraternal Order of Eagles, and The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks. After his retirement, Nick worked as an assistant for Grace Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home and served as Vice President of Lakeside Woodlands Civic Association for over 27-years.
Nick was preceded in death by his beloved wife Alisse Bonaimo, his father William Bonaimo, and mother Marion Bonaimo.
Survivors include his son Christopher Bonaimo of Hudson, FL; brothers William “Billy” Bonaimo of Asbury Park, NJ, Robert “Bobby” Bonaimo of Long Island, NY, Edward “Eddie” Bonaimo of Ocala, FL; sister Carol Bonaimo of Connecticut; nieces Nicole Bonaimo Bohlman of Long Island, NY, Denise Bonaimo and Christine Bonaimo both of San Diego, CA, Theresa Bonaimo of Long Island, NY, Jennifer Bonaimo of Connecticut; and nephew Michael Bonaimo of Connecticut.
Nick was a loving son, husband, and father who left an indelible mark on his family and friends who love him dearly.
Visitation will be held at 4pm--8pm on Wednesday February 23rd, 2022, at Grace Memorial Funeral Home, 16931 U.S. Hwy. 19, Hudson FL 34667. A Catholic Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday February 24th, 2022 at 10:00AM at St Michael Catholic Church, Burial at Grace Memorial Gardens, Hudson, FL.
