Nellie Robinson's Obituary
Nellie Robinson was born in July 1945 to Paul and Mary DeRossett in Louisville, Kentucky. She is preceded in death by both of her parents, her sister, Irene Keith Crocker, and brothers, Paul and Timothy DeRossett. She is survived by her two sisters, Marie Spang and Ann Dixon along with several nieces and nephews.  Although she had no children she had many "adopted" children throughout her life.
She was an accomplished surveyor and retired from Pasco County government as the Supervisor of the Surveying Department.  She was the author of several books and additionally held the official honorary title of “Kentucky Colonel”.
Her interests included fellowship with friends, sewing, canning and crafts.  She provided her community with volunteer service to the Pasco Sheriff's Office, Pasco Safety Town, the “Questers” Club, Bayonet Point Hospital, the Red Cross, the Homeless Coalition, the Bayonet Point Patient Advisory Board, the Retired School Volunteer Program, HOSPICE, the United Way, the Tampa Bay Society of Professional Land Surveyors, the American Business Women Association, Habitat for Humanity, the Pasco Pioneer Museum, the Veteran’s of Foreign Wars, the Elks, the West Pasco Historical Society, the CARES program, the Southern Dames, the Pasco Angels, the United Daughters of the Confederacy and most importantly of all, her service to God.
